As per the 2010 U.S. Census, Pennsylvania is the 6th most populous state of the 50 United States and the population of the state was counted approximately 12,702,379, which was an increase of 3.4% from the 2000 population enumeration

The First Federal Census in PA started in the year 1790 and after that it continued every ten years. The 1890 Decennial Census records were completely damaged by the 1921 warehouse fire, but the special Veterans and Widows schedules survived the fire. However, no state census records for Pennsylvania till today is known.
